WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS AT GALLATIN ICE ARENA

The Bozeman Amateur Hockey Association (BAHA) and its parent foundation, Gallatin Ice, have operated as nonprofits in the Bozeman area for decades.

The Finish the Ice Barn campaign will complete a nearly 40 year effort by local ice-sports fans and the organizations to bring four seasons of indoor ice to Bozeman in a high-quality environment. This $8.1 million project is the capstone work that will finally complete a world class, year-round ice facility that our athletes, fans, and community need and deserve.

KEY ADDITIONS

BAHA orchestrated the build of Bozeman's first refrigerated ice sheet, Haynes Pavilion, in 1999. In 2017, with county support, Gallatin Ice was able to Raise the Ice Barn to build a second facility and rink adjacent to Haynes Pavilion. Phase 1 of the Finish the Ice Barn campaign was completed earlier in 2025 and added new seating on the east side of the arena, as well as a jumbotron to the north wall. Phase 3, still to come, will include a new central entry and expanded concessions area.

This critical renovation to the west side of the facility marks Phase 2 of the campaign. Once complete, at the end of 2026, the "Ice Barn" will be renamed the Bottcher Families Community Ice Center and will have:

Seating to accommodate up to 1,500 fans
A new mezzanine and broadcast booth for announcing and media coverage
A restaurant & pub, Blue Line Club, on the 2nd floor mezzanine with a viewing balcony
New locker rooms for MSU Men’s and Women’s Hockey and the Bozeman Icedogs
Expanded restrooms throughout the facility
An Executive Suite (Founders Club) offering exclusive, enclosed seating and dedicated food & beverage service for members

A portion of the total project—$1.5 million—will be funded through public donations and the tax-deductible seat naming rights available for purchase on this page.

Details on seat purchases

The current Seat Naming Rights options are for seats located on the West Side of the Arena Diagram in Sections D, E, F, G, & H. Sections D & H are wooden bench seats and sections E, F, & G are classic arena style folding seats with cup holders. The East Side bench seating in sections A, B, and C are currently not included in this campaign (they are greyed out on the seat map for now).

By purchasing (via tax-deductible donation) a naming right to a seat, you are not only providing meaningful support for this extraordinary phase, you are joining a club of committed individuals who want to see our project through to completion.

Your purchase includes:

A seat plaque with your name, or preferred text, on your bench or arena seat
First right of refusal for season tickets in your seat for the next five years
Preseason access to season ticket discount packages for your specific seats
A commemorative t-shirt
An invitation to the arena's opening ceremony, anticipated in December 2026
